If you asked me at the top of this year, if I’d debut an apparel line, my immediate thought would have been a resounding “No!” Not that it was a terrible idea, it’s just that thought and desire were nowhere on my radar. Over the past 5 months, so much has changed for me professionally and personally. I must say it was none of me. I was just being obedient to my Heavenly Father’s leading.
The point of this post is to show you that there are times where you’ll receive a thought or suggestion from Our Father, that you know didn’t come from you and you can trace it to realize it didn’t come from the enemy either. When that happens, trust that your Heavenly Father makes suggestions to you that are Kingdom ideas which He wants you to act upon. This clothing line is my proof! I didn’t plan on launching an apparel line. Yet, when He gave me the direction and design, I surrendered and gave Him my “yes.”
It’s all about being available. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, “The LORD’s eyes keep on roaming throughout the earth, looking for those whose hearts completely belong to him, so that he may strongly support them.” I use to be rigid in “my” plans because there was a sense of pride within me that wanted to accomplish what “I” wanted to achieve. However, as I’ve grown wiser I’ve learned to surrender my plans totally so that my King Daddy God receives ALL the glory! Luke 17:33 puts it this way, “If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it.”
The point is, there is beauty in your surrender! Your life is so much bigger than you! Realize that you play a major role in Our Heavenly Father’s plans. How sad would it be if you allowed your minuscule plans to attempt to supersede the plans of your Creator?? You just don’t have that much wisdom to create a “perfect plan” where everyone wins.
With that being said, let Our Father see the availability of your hands. Relax and let Him and Him alone define your plans. If He decides to download an apparel line or a blog suggestion on you-go for it! Trust that HE always backs up His Word!
