Some of you might be thinking, ” Did she mean, “Praise & Worship” playlist? Not at all. I meant Kingdom Crunk aka Christian Crunk aka Christian Trap Music. Can this be considered “Praise & Worship” music? Why not? It brings glory to Our King. However, this isn’t the type of music where you are sitting quietly ushering in our Father’s presence. This is the type of music where you are celebrating His presence with grand rejoicing and breakin’ it down! (Gon’ do yo dance..lol) You see, Our Heavenly Father enjoys a good party! How do I know this? Well, let’s take a look at 2 Samuel 6:14:
“And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.”
or how about Psalm 100:
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
What about Psalm 98:4:
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!”
Do you catch His drift yet? Unfortunately, many people try to “box” God in, in terms of the methods in which He invites His children to worship. If the lyrics glorify Him, why not consider it worship? Who are we to judge someone’s worship to Our Heavenly Father? Is that not the same as judging a librarian versus a nurse? Our occupations are just as much worship to Our Father as our physical worship to Him. Is it not? The goal is always the same. However, the “expression” may change. #noPhariseetendencies #ovahere
With all of that being said, I’m going to share a few of my fav “Kingdom Crunk” songs with you! I thought about making this a video with my reactions to the songs because I felt like it’d be more entertaining…lol…but I figured, I’d need to lay some foundation first.
