Fight To Be Good Ground Gurl!

The past week has been tough spiritually for me. Just last week, I was on an INCREDIBLE HIGH at Pastor Sarah Jakes Robert’s Woman Evolve Conference! It was phenomenal! It wasn’t  just a temporary elation, but it was the perfect combination of  preparation, sowing, tilling, and activating that I needed in this season of my life.  I was satiated on Our Father’s daily plates of manna, and  I began to overflow upon leaving Colorado and returning home.

It wasn’t long before the enemy began to attack my thought life. FYI-this isn’t any new tactic of the enemy, so don’t be unnerved if it happens to you. I’ll explain a bit more in a moment. The enemy started to bombard me with less than ideal suggestions, emotions, and anxious thoughts that would distract and deter me from all I’d just digested at the conference. Yet, I fought to stand on my identity as the King’s daughter.

I won’t lie. It was tough. Mental games most certainly take a toll on your pysche, even when you are strong. A few days later, I attended a Girl’s Night Out event at my church wear Abba Father brought me the perfect rhema Word I needed to gather my life, fight back with, and push through towards His promises. I went down to that altar when I heard Him call me, and I allowed Him to “saturate me with His blood” again and reignite the flame He’d began in me just a few days earlier.

What do ya know? The next day, the mental attacks came again! I mean sometimes it just seems like the enemy won’t let up. The enemy know who you are and believe it or not, You Frighten him! Yes YOU!!! This is precisely the time when we must arise as daughters and take our rightful place in the Kingdom! I’m reminded of the explanation of the parable Jesus told in Matthew 13:18-23. In the verses just before that, He compares us (His children) to being 4 different types of soil/ground. Go ahead and read Matthew 13. It is sure to bless ALL of your life!

However, what stood out to me was verses 21-23.

20-21 You know people who hear the word of God and receive it joyfully—but then, somehow, the word fails to take root in their hearts. It is temporary. As soon as there is trouble for those people, they trip: those people are the seeds strewn on the rocky soil. 22 And you know people who hear the word, but it is choked inside them because they constantly worry and prefer the wealth and pleasures of the world: they prefer drunken dinner parties to prayer, power to piety, and riches to righteousness. Those people are like the seeds sown among thorns. 23 The people who hear the word and receive it and grow in it—those are like the seeds sown on good soil. They produce a bumper crop, 30 or 60 or 100 times what was sown. (The Voice Translation)

This past week, I’ve found myself vacillating between the two former types of soil. Those grounds where the Word for whatever reason doesn’t stand the test of time, and eventually the person goes back to their former self. That is, until my Daddy God quickened me to what was REALLY  going on: a spiritual battle for my mind in order to delay the plans of my Heavenly Father.

So what did I do? I fought! I fought to maintain my position as good ground! Our Heavenly Father has made each and every one of us good ground, which yield fruit in His timing. When we begin to deny that inherent ability or rescind our capacity to do so, we are living a life to a lesser degree and value than Our Father intended. Believe me, He doesn’t want you to live lower than your design necessitates.

In Philippians 1:6 He says, …“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” So what makes you think He wants you to live a “less than” excellent life now!?………crickets*

Here is my encouragement! In this Kingdom life, you are going to have to fight FROM victory. Yes, Your Heavenly Father already won the victory for you, but you do have to fight to maintain your position, otherwise it will be snatched from you. Whoever said Christianity was all about “whatever is meant to happen will happen” lied to you. I mean they straight up lied to you! If that’s the case, why do you think He gave us free will if we were simply at the mercy of fate?? His Word says in Matthew 11:12:

“From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”

Baby girl, you have to fight to maintain the life He sent His only Son to die to give YOU! The moment you gave your life to Christ, you entered the war zone! This is Sparta baby!! Good thing you have a loving Heavenly Father who went to war for you and fixed your fight for victory EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Yes ma’am!! *Praise Break!!

Did you catch that before I began my target? He said, “By force!” That means you’re going to have to put a lil elbow grease in that thang honey. There are some stances that you have to fight to maintain because the enemy is always on the prowl to see whom He can devour.

1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

So here are my tips in order to fight to maintain your position as good ground:

  1. Renew your mind with the Word of God! Study it, meditate on it and confess it daily!

2.  Guard your ear, eye, and heart gates! Don’t listen or watch things that are in       alignment with the enemies thoughts for you. Be careful because they will be subtle.

3.  Spend time with your Heavenly Father by eating His Word daily. (Even multiple times a day!)

4.      Surround yourself with people who are good ground as well and have the strength and capacity to pour into you! They will push you when you feel weak.

Be encouraged daughters! You are good ground!

In peace!

His Daughter
